Buurtzorg Caribbean is a new organization, consisting of Buurtzorg Curaçao and Buurtzorg Aruba. We use the same model as Buurtzorg Nederland, which has developed an innovative concept for care at home in the Netherlands with the focus on better solutions for the client, sustainability, and effectiveness. Buurtzorg is already active in several countries and is now also coming to the islands of Curaçao and Aruba. But what can you expect from us? We will briefly explain this to you in this blog.
Customized care
Buurtzorg Caribbean aims to offer customized care, and in this way to increase the quality of nursing in the Caribbean. We are a home care organization with small self-managing teams consisting of nurses who provide care at home. The relationship between care provider and client is central to us. We love to help people lead meaningful and autonomous lives. Buurtzorg points the way to more human, more motivated and truly impactful work.

The Buurtzorg model focuses on collaboration to achieve the best possible care, finding new and fresh ways to provide care and sharing knowledge and experience. Our motto is therefore “Humanity over Bureaucracy” and that is what we stand for.
Our client comes first
We provide personal and professional care at home, in which the client is central. Our care consists of treatment, advice and instructions, monitoring, guidance and case management. Healthcare questions are diverse, for example; monitoring your vital signs such as blood pressure, taking pulse, measuring temperature, saturation and measuring blood sugar. In addition, we provide General Daily Care (ADL), such as washing and dressing, helping with bandages and putting on compression stockings. Or, for example, giving wound care, injections, medication and observing the intake of medication.
Contact with your General Practitioner
We are in contact with various general practitioners, POH and/or specialists in consultation with you. You can also contact us for other care questions when it comes to help, advice or instruction with regard to stoma care, COPD, Heart failure, Diabetes care, Palliative Care or Dementia. We look at your home situation and environment, in which we also involve the carer. We come up with creative solutions in consultation with clients, general practitioners and other care providers. Furthermore, we work with highly trained and qualified nurses, who carry out their work with great passion. This allows us to offer you the best care at home.
